At least one of year experience in a patient care position in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility preferred. PROFESSIONAL: Completion of State approved Nurse Aide course, testing, and registration required. Care site: private residences, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, apartments EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT: Full time non-exempt with benefits A Hospice Aide, under the direction of a Registered Nurse, provides care and assistance to terminally ill patients within the scope of experience and ability, including:Ĭlean and bathe patients Assistance in toileting Maintain patients' hygiene and change bedding Turn, reposition and transfer or move patients between wheelchairs, seats and beds Serve meals and help patients eat their food Assist in cleaning and housekeeping of patient area Maintain par stock of supplies on hand Measure vital signs like blood pressure and temperature Observe and listen to patients regarding any health concerns they might have and report details or changes in condition to Registered Nurse Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with weekends as scheduled.
